UG gets first female Chancellor to succeed Kofi Annan August 1

Dr. Mrs. Mary Chinery- Hesse
University of Ghana, Legon will today, August 1, 2018 install first female Chancellor, a distinctive day in the history of the University.
Dr. Mrs. Mary Chinery- Hesse was the Chief Advisor to Former President John Agyekum Kufuor from May 2006 to January 2009.
She will be installed Chancellor to succeed former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan.
Dr. Mrs. Mary Chinnery-Hesse, a woman whose curriculum vitae is quite stunning.
Appointments she has held locally include chair of the Zenith Bank; Vice-Chair of the National Development Planning Commission; member of the Board of the Centre for Policy Analysis; member of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission and Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic in the Government of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
