"Illegal goods" found with prospective pilgrims

Some illegal substances were on Sunday, August 4, retrieved by Officials of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) from prospective pilgrims of this year’s Hajj at the Hajj Village in Tamale.

The contraband goods were retrieved through a search as part of the checking-in process to ensure that illegal substances were not smuggled into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The items included tramadol and cola nuts, and other unprescribed items.
