Corruption tagging by opposition leaders won't wash- President Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says attempts by leading opposition figures to tag him and members of of family of corruption will not wash.

He said he did not come into politics to make money but to serve.

President who made this known in Accra at the annual Conference of the Internal Audit Agency asked the auditors to join him in the fight against corruption.

He said Auditors are first line of defense in the fight against corruption admitting that no single person can win the fight.

He said government will support Auditors in fulfilling their mandate under the Public Finance Management Act.

He assured Ghanaians that government is on the right path to put the country back on.
